Goodward Dog Rescue
Goodward Dog Rescue in Worthing, West Sussex, finds suitable homes for abandoned dogs and puppies that have found themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
Many of these dogs have been in local authority pounds in this country and Ireland, surrendered into the pound by their owners (usually for personal domestic circumstances) or the dogs are rounded up as strays and taken to the pound.
If a dog is not claimed within 7 days, some pounds put the dog to sleep. Volunteers move these unclaimed dogs to a rescue space, if one is offered or available to avoid being put to sleep.

After being temperament and health checked by the first rescue, some dogs move to Goodward Dog Rescue where they stay in a home environment to be further assessed for suitability as family pets. While they stay with the rescue, the dogs are treated as valued family members until the right home comes along.
We often have small dogs and some larger mature dogs for adoption who are all vaccinated, neutered and spayed (if old enough).
We rehome within Sussex area and also nationally through dog rescue organisations we work with.
